GOT A HOLD OF CARL

I got a hold of Carl late Friday night; well I got a hold of his roommate. He was on the outside of the hurricane, they got wind and rain, but there was not a lot of damage. He has food, water, power, and his place is dry, he is even going to work. The dog and cat are fine too. Friday was the first good night sleep I have had in the passed four days. With that said; all I can say is what the fuck!!

When the country is in crisis we look to the leaders for the way, for hope and inspiration. To have inspiring words, to help us get thru a tough time, I didn’t see that with our President or any leader of the disaster area. The leaders have failed all of us, not just the one in New Orleans, the Gulf area but all U.S citizens. The President and the other leaders know days before the hurricane hit that it was a class 4 hurricane, and very little was done. I hold the President solely responsible; he is the man in charge, the man at the top. The buck stops at him, the other state leaders look to him for guidance. He is the one that can release the funds and call out the military; he is the one that appointed the homeland security director and FEMA director. What is going to happen the next disaster hits? The President said, “It will take time… what need to be fixed will be fixed” well, there isn’t time to fix it how. You are taking your sweet ass time, people are dieing. This disaster was played out a year ago as part of the homeland security. If steps were taken for evacuation sooner and people that didn’t have away out, were given a way out there would not be as many dead. If you treat people like animals they will act like animals. The blood is on the hands of the President.

According to FEMA, people should not to expect help for at least 42 hour after a disaster, but the people of New Orleans had to wait five days. The evacuation of Hanoi and Saigon was more planned out than the evacuation of people of the Gulf areas. As for aid, there were people dieing from the lack of water at the government shelters. Where was the Red Cross? With the food and water. Where was FEMA? With the evacuation plan. Reporter should be the only one in boats that are helping children get to a place were they can get help. Even the UN offered help, why didn’t the President take that help? In 24 hours of the Christmas Tsunami, planes were being loaded with food, water ect.. The Internet was up and running, so love ones could find the missing. These were 12 third countries and almost third world countries, not a super power like the U.S. What went wrong?

I was looking for hope, guidance, or something, I got what I thought I would get. Nothing.
